The Town of Glocester is seeking applicants for a part-time as-needed position in our Animal Control department. The successful applicant will perform a variety of tasks in the care and maintenance of animals at the facility and other duties as directed by the Animal Control Officer.
ACO certification; experience obtained from working at a municipal animal control shelter or equivalent; operating a kennel; or breeding and handling healthy dogs, cats, horses or other animals is preferred. Applicants must be at least 21 years of age, possess a valid driver’s license, pass criminal background check, and be able to obtain ACO certification to be considered.

The Town of Glocester is now accepting applications for a part-time police/fire dispatcher. The work shift is a rotating schedule between 16 and 24 hours per week including holidays. General duties will include: answering emergency and routine phone calls; dispatching police and fire emergency services. Preference given to applicants with dispatch experience in the fire service and/or law enforcement discipline.

The Glocester Tax Assessor’s Office has an opening for a full-time senior clerk. This position reports to the Assessor and is responsible for the administration and coordination of the clerical and record keeping functions of the Department. This is a responsible position designed to assist the Tax Assessor and is responsible for the operation of the office in the absence of the Assessor.

PLANNING BOARD RECORDING CLERK POSTED MARCH 8, 2018
Must be available to attend two or three weekday evening meetings per month (usually the 1st and 3rd Mondays). Duties include: taking notes at the Planning Board meetings and preparing typed minutes within 30 days of the meeting date, using the notes and tape recording; preparing written formal decisions, advisory recommendations, and related formal correspondence resulting from the Planning Board meeting; and recording minutes in the Glocester Town Hall during normal business hours. All duties including meetings, not to exceed 20 hours per month. Must have access to a personal computer and be proficient with Microsoft Word 2010.
