ELECTIONS
Elections are held in November in even years. Any voting information you may need can be obtained from the Town Clerk's office. If you are not sure where you go to vote, you may call our office at 568-6206. We are available daily for your questions and during extended hours on election days. CLICK HERE for Polling locations or CLICK HERE to get the information immediately at the Secretary of State's Public Information Kiosk. Poll locations open at 7:00 AM and close at 8:00 PM on election day.

MAIL BALLOTS
If you will be unable to come to your poll location on election day due to travel, a medical situation, schooling, etc., call the Town Clerk's Office as soon as the situation arises. You may be able to vote by mail.

Voters who are unable to go to the polling place due to physical hardship (and may be unable for more than one election) may be eligible for an Automatic Mail Ballot. Call the Town Clerk's office.

POLLING LOCATIONS
CLICK HERE to find out where you should go to cast your vote in the General Elections. If you are not sure of your Voting District or whether you are registered, call the Town Clerk's Office at 568-6206 ext. 0 with these or any other questions. Polls are open from 7:00am to 8:00pm.

POLLWORKERS
Rhode Island Law was recently amended to allow federal, state, and local government employees (this includes teachers) to once again work the polling locations. This is a paid position. Anyone interested in being considered for the position of pollworker in upcoming elections may call 568-6206 to request an application or CLICK HERE to apply online. You must be a registered voter. Your application will be kept on file until needed.

VOTER REGISTRATION
Voter Registrations for Glocester residents are filed and maintained in the Town Clerk's office. You may register to vote Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. As a courtesy, we offer a voter identification card to you once registration is effective, which is 30 days from date of registration. If you are unable to come to our office to register, call us and we will send you a mail-in voter registration.

VOTER ID
Now that the Voter ID law is in effect, the Voter ID Mobile Unit will be on the road to best reach those in need of a state-issue voter ID card. As you may know, those people who have a photo ID including a drivers license or state issued ID card, a passport, a student ID, a government issued medical card or other government issued card, will not need an ID issued by the Secretary of State's office. Various groups that have been identified as possibly being most in need of an ID are senior citizens, the homeless or indigent, those with disabilities, etc. Having the Voter ID Mobile Unit visiting public places closest to those in most need of an ID is the best way to achieve that goal.

The Voter ID Mobile Unit will be visiting the Town of Glocester so that members of the town can come obtain a free ID (so long as you do not already possess a sufficient form of identification).
